What’s Affiliate Marketing * Mean?
If you’ve been on our site long enough you’ve read blogs with lots of little *stars* telling you that there are some affiliate links on the post.
What does that all mean? Why do I have to tell you about these links?
So affiliate marketing is basically a way that a lot of businesses make money promoting other companies products and services at no cost to the person who clicks on the link. So if I’m recommending a product that I don’t personally sell, when you click on the link I’m attaching and you buy something, I will make a tiny profit off of the company that sells that product.
Easy example: I suggest a set of beautiful bowls by an eco-friendly company we love, you click on that link and buy those bowls because you love them too. The company pays me a small commission from the sale. The price never changes or increases for you.
A couple things I want you to know:
- I’ll NEVER suggest something to you that I wouldn’t put in my own home or on my own little people.
- If I suggest something to you it’s because I’ve either researched it, or more likely used it myself.
- You won’t ever be up-charged for something I suggest, it’ll be the same price I paid if not better.
- Sometimes companies ask me to suggest products to my friends. I only say “yes” to products that I would use myself.
- The integrity of the companies I align my own brand with is of top importance to me.
That’s it. SO know that when you click on a link on my blog that sends you to a product or service that you could buy, you’re supporting a small business and investing in something that has been vetted and tested by me!
Thanks for supporting small y’all!
